1. Tacoma Ethnic Fest

The Washington Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (WCADP) will have a
booth at the Tacoma Ethnic Fest on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29 in
Tacoma.  The event will be at Wright Park, just north of downtown Tacoma.
Our booth space is made possible by the Olympia Fellowship of
Reconciliation's Committee for Alternatives to the Death Penalty (a member
of WCADP) who will serve as our host for this wonderful annual event.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to fill out our volunteer schedule for Saturday the 28th
and especially on Sunday the 29th.  The event runs from 12:00 noon to 7:00PM
each day.  Each volunteer shift is just a few hours.  If you are interested

2. Innocent Man Approaches Execution
 
Troy Anthony Davis is scheduled to die tomorrow in Georgia.  A 1997 law
prevents Davis' attorneys from presenting new information that could prove
their client is innocent.  Even if you have never acted before, now is the
time to do something.  Follow the link below for more information and then
pick up the phone and fax or call to prevent the death of yet another
innocent man.
