10/21 - The Empty Chair.  Film & Panel Discussion
Wallingford Neighbors for Peace and Justice is hosting a screening of the
movie, "The Empty Chair: Death Penalty Yes or No" on Friday, October 21 at
7:00 p.m.  The film will be shown at Keystone Church, 5019 Keystone Place N.
Admission is free for all, donations gladly accepted.

"Whenever any of us are taken by violence, by death, the chair at the table
becomes empty because none of us can ever be replaced" -- Sister Helen
Prejean, author of Dead Man Walking.

"The Empty Chair" is a documentary film that tells four stories of murder
victims' families reliving the crimes and confronting the loss of loved
ones.  Since its 2005 debut, "The Empty Chair" has been nationally broadcast
by the Hallmark Channel, and has been viewed by hundreds of faith
communities, civic groups, schools, and individuals throughout the country.
 
This event is co-sponsored by the Washington Coalition to Abolish the Death
Penalty (WCADP); the Buddhist Peace Fellowship; Amnesty International; the
Catholic Conference of Washington State; and Lutheran Public Policy.
 
There will be a panel discussion following the film featuring:
    Andrea Crabtree with WCADP
    Mike Morris with the Buddhist Peace Fellowship
    Amy Luftig with Amnesty International
    Matt Muckler with Catholic Conf. of Washington State
    Sharon Greenwood with Lutheran Public Policy
