You should have received a year-end appeal letter by now.  I'm writing to
you today to ask that you not let the year end without responding.
 
Unlike many non-profits, WCADP can not turn to traditional sources of
funding for our work.  We must instead turn to you.  Traditional foundations
and large corporations lack the courage to associate their "brands" with the
work we do.  They believe that by remaining silent they are remaining
neutral.  But you and I know that to remain silent on this issue is to take
sides;  to remain to remain silent is a vote in favor of death.
 
The lion share of our support has always come from generous individuals --
people just like you.  So please, give as generously as you can.
 
If you have any questions, or if you need another copy of the materials we
have already sent out, please do not hesitate to reply to me at this address
or to give our office a call at (206) 442-2106.

gifts and pledges...but it is not enough.  This is a challenging year for
