These two come highly recommended:

Crystals and Crystal Growing; Holden, Alan and Singer, Phylis; 1960.  I 
can't find an ISBN.  Has 320 pages and gets pretty technical.

Crystal Growth in Gels; Henisch, Heinz K.; ISBN 0-486-68915-8.  111 
pages; practical recipes that anyone can follow.  If you actually want 
to grow some crystals, I recommend this one.
