[Rockhounds] Boodle Lane

That may be Crystal Cave in Joplin, Jasper county
MO.  Located at 4th street and Picher Ave in Joplin. 
It was a geode cave 55 ft wide, 225 ft long, 10 to 15 ft
high, and developed on 2 levels.  Discovered in the
1890's and closed by 1914 when pumping of nearby
mine water ceased.  It is currently water filled.  The
entrance is paved over, but it's location is marked by
a small sign.  Was the longest cave in Jasper county
at one time.

I was at the site 5/3/2000 and the sign was still
there on the edge of a nondescript parking lot.
