The Ben E. Clement Mineral Museum has some large calcite crystals that Ben
Clement traded from Boodle Lane for southern Illinois fluorite.
They are in the process of renovating some of the exhibit space because of
an insurance settle from damage from an ice storm last year. The January ice
storm made the leak worse. I think those calcites are in the room that is
being renovated. If anyone visited the museum in the past month or two they
can tell us if the crystals are still on display.
