Speaking of oil.? Is it better to cut with oil or water.? Seems the mist given off by the blade may make it a little more messy.?I have an old saw so it's a pain to take apart to clean it.

Look at what you have cut recently and see if any of it has a green streak. Some substances, like psilomelane, seem to make much finer particles when cut and stay suspended in the oil, coloring it. Psilomelane will turn your oil black within seconds.?
