[Rockhounds] What do you do about falsely advertised eBay items?

Yes, we have observed that point, ad nauseum, since you don't seem to 
post anything that doesn't somehow serve as an advertising message for 
yourself.

Pardon me everyone for being blunt, since I don't have the luxury of 
time at the moment to compose a more diplomatic and well-considered 
message, but I would like to be on at least one mailing list that does 
not host extended discussions on the pros and cons of eBay that stray 
far from the topicality of the list.  I don't know how everyone else or 
the moderators feel, but it is exhausting to see the same discussions 
over and over again on any number of groups.

EBay does have its own forums for discussion, as well as plenty of help 
topics that relate to the concern of the members.

It is an open marketplace for buying and selling.  Thieves and con 
artists run rampant.  Caveat emptor maximus extremus.  That's all there 
is to it.
