[Rockhounds] What do you do about falsely advertised eBay items?

And sometimes they will threaten you with death, as happened to two of 
us on the list.

There is a link at the bottom of every ad, Report This Item.  However, 
you need to know the eBay rules well enough to navigate the menu of 
choices that describe the particular violation.  EBay doesn't respond to 
every complaint, and they are more concerned with outright and egregious 
violations than with ads that simply "don't seem right."  In this case, 
there are many bogus things about the ad, but remember, the people at 
eBay have no way of evaluating that.

I don't want to discourage your concern, but as someone who has reported 
hundreds, perhaps thousands, of violations, I am giving you the reality 
of the situation.
