[Rockhounds] Importing into GPS

I'm guessing, and I'm kinda waving my arms here, that a POI will show up as
a little do-hicky on the Garmin screen. I have no idea WHAT the POI symbol
will show up as, but it'll be in there. You probably turn on a layer or
something to show the POI symbols. I looked at their CSV -> Garmin
conversion software. One of the things it has in there is "warn me if I'm
within X miles of thus-and-such a type of POI". So, there you are driving
in the boonies and you can have the GPS yell at you when you are near a
mine.
But like I said... waving my arms.
With hope some Kind Soul will try this out on their Garmin and tell us what
it looks like.

I guess I don't understand, what would POIs have to do with waypoints? They
are totally separate entities. POIs are restaurants & such while waypoints
are, well, waypoints. Uploading waypoints to the POI database in the unit
doesn't make sense to me. Neat utility, though. Now, if they would only
include CFN cardlock gas stations...sigh...
