Someone from the list had information on the Gem Trails of Oregon on how the locations were incorrect. Can anyone direct me to him again. We are heading out to Oregon in September to visit family and would like to do some rock hounding. We have the Gem Trails of Oregon, but certainly want to have the correct information/locations. Also if anyone has sites that you know of (We will be in Portland for a few days and on the Central Coast) that are not listed in any of the publications we would greatly appreciate any information or advice. We are still new at this wonderful hobby.

Vol.83, No.3, the May/June 2008 issue of Rocks and Minerals is the New York State Special Issue II. Should be no trouble to get yourself a copy of that and the first one too, will give you a lot of collecting spots.
