[Rockhounds] July 4th Swap in Wyoming?

Oh my... Big Sandy Campground. I haven't thought about that place in years.
We were camping there once Back In the Day. All set up and tucked in for
the night. Around 2 in the morning the tent started flapping. Then the
tent started collapsing. I looked outside and could see lightning, and lots
of it, headed our way. We tucked the little kids (one just a babe in arms)
into the back of the car, tore down the tent, stuffed everything into the
car and tore out of there. The rain started coming down in 55 gallon drums
(a lot harder than "coming down in buckets"). The access road was just
about muddied to the point of impassability as we pulled out onto the main
road.
About an hour later we pulled into a rest stop on the pass outside of Rock
Springs. I slept on the ground next to the car. The rains had absolutely
cleared the skies and it was spectacular... tons of meteors.

The swap fell apart in the last two or three years. A friend went there
last year and didn't see anyone else at the Big Sandy campground.
