[Rockhounds] Need Help Re Substage Lamp Luminosity

Okay, I admit that 5 years or so ago I bought one of those Japanese (?) petrographic microscopes on EBay. Paid maybe $800 for it. The scope is more or less serviceable, but needs to have greater luminosity out of the substage lamp. That lamp has a 15W bulb. I think 20W would make a big improvement.

Here's the rub. Off and on for 5 years I've tried emailing/phoning the company. No response. All I wanted was for them to identify the company that produced the bulb, so I could see if they could supply a 20W bulb. Most recently I tried via the "ask seller a question" on EBay. Still no response. The bulb seems to be of Japanese make, very different contacts at its base. I took the lamp to a local electrician, but they couldn't find anything from their suppliers. Likewise, emails to various bulb supply houses produce no response.

Any ideas from the group?
