[Rockhounds] Something Different

Thank you for explaining. Aaron was just blessed with some of those not too long ago. To be exact, we have started a project for school where we are putting together a collection of rocks, minerals, etc from different states and displaying it with educational information that Aaron is gathering. We are hoping to make this available at clubs or homeschool events to teach others. Anyway, a gentleman from Alabama so graciously sent Aaron 79 samples. Most of them were TN's I was so overwhelmed because everything was so beautiful. I am just beginning this with Aaron, I don't know anything about value or quality or anything but I know something, I have never before seen any of them. I can stare at them and wonder for hours, how, why, what?
Thanks
Shawn

Shawn: As Michael said, "Thumbnails" are a smaller size, usually defined as those specimens, either single crystals, or groups, that will fit in a one by one inch box, called a Perky box (after the man who invented them).
They are often sought after, as you can get better quality in the smaller sizes, and usually (but not always!!) they are cheaper than the larger sizes.
Sorry I didn't better explain myself earlier! For some more information, see our groups site:

I find myself with an abundance of TN's which I have accumulated over
the years of trading and buying. How about trying something
different??
I will swap any of these for something of yours of equal quality (any size, any quantity)...........
OR.....
Make me a reasonable offer on any and let's talk!!
