Hi,

I didn't think the site being discussed was Emerald Creek, since I don't 
consider that as St. Maries but near Clarkia.

But since Tim mentioned it, the nearby Fossil Bowl is definitely a site 
to see, if in fact you like fossils.  It is right off the road, the fee 
is low, and you WILL find intricately preserved leaf and seed fossils; 
fish are quite rare, but that's part of the fun of searching.  The clay 
is sticky, so a change of clothes is required; though by this time of 
year, the site might be fairly dry.
