That would have been cool Pete. However, Julie pointed out that it does have 
a nice coating of "Sparklyite" which I assume to be calcite. I have another 
unknown Galena pelecypod with a nice pyrite coating at 
http://www.flickr.com/photos/31394106@N08/2964923485/  Lousy photo though. 
I'll try to get a better one up.
