Ah, and John, you mislead some of us poor readers (almost as bad as the Kenny stuff), here I thought this post was going to be about galena replacement of a fossil or fossils, sounded way cool!? Phooey, but it was just plain old fossils, FROM Galena, how ordinary.

Just a guess, but I believe your unknown to be a Canadian coin from
