Thank you to all who responded to my plea for ideas for our preschool demonstrations. I was able to glean many great ideas that I am excited to use. I also appreciate the resources for the geodes. That is why I love this list!!!
I also found this website:
http://www.mii.org/
They have a lot of great ideas and teacher resources. I'm sure many of you already know about them but I thought I would pass it on to the rest of you.
Now for my next request. We want to give out something to each child so they can remember their visit. The kids will all be preschool age (3-5) and we worry about rock specimens as they will either be too small, thus can be swallowed, or to big, which could prove tempting as projectiles.
So far I have some coloring pages but wondered if the list members may have some other ideas. Have any of you ever had this dilemma? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Brett W
