America Science and Surplus often has 2 inch geodes for a buck each.

You might consider making wallboard. Crush some gypsum. Cook it in a
frying pan to drive off the water and make plaster. Mix with water to
make wet plaster, smear it on a sheet of cardboard, put another sheet
on top. Let dry (maybe speed it up with a blow dryer).
