Julie,
Please be assured that there are an awful lot of folks out here who
greatly appreciate your efforts to keep the list free of contentious
topics.
We come here to deal with a subject which gives us child-like
pleasure, at very little cost, and which takes us away from the
hassles and disappointments of daily life. It would be a shame to
allow such a well-mannered venue for discussion to be sullied by
arguments and name calling.
I myself have very strong feelings on both topics, and I often find
it difficult to resist replying to what I perceive as a challenge to
my beliefs.
I have, on occasion, failed to turn away, and I've always regretted
those decisions.
Please continue to be a "grouch", and to "come down fast and hard."
We appreciate your efforts.
