[Rockhounds] ceramics, clays and glaze chemistry ??

Hi:

A friend is a professional ceramics teacher/artist, and she has recently dug clays from a farm near here in WV.  They're working on glaze chemistry, and wonder if I know anyone who could provide an analysis of the clay(s) they're using from their farm.

Anyone capable/interested in doing some analysis of clay(s) being used in ceramics from a WV farm?  Here's Bill's email to me:

patti wants to get the clay she is using dug from the farm analyzed



to get an idea of what to test for, besides the usual suspects -

silica, alumina..."

This is pretty much mineralogy, so I thought there might be some interest...
