Hi Horst,
Good to hear things are well with you. Glad your move has gone well and
you are still active.
I did end up going back and acquire a specimen before the show closed.
The Russian dealer did not want to reveal his source for the tumbled
specimens at first, but he finally volunteered that the Stichtite
specimen came from Stichtite Hill, Dundas, Tasmania, and showed me his
stock bag from under the table that had a full label.
If he had put up a sign saying Type Locality specimens I'll bet he
would have sold twice as many. We've had the dealer at our show for a
few years. He is knowledgable; the other dealers say he is strange, but
can be trusted. He has an amazing collection of polished specimens at
decent prices and does a good business with those making jewelry.
I'm still interested in finding a rough specimen, but I'll take a TL
specimen that is tumbled to add a new species to my collection.
Cheers!
Kreigh
