Axel, since I know you're interested in this, the latest (March) issue of  
Mineral News has an article by Van King tabulating the fluorescence of  
tourmalines from as many worldwide localities as he was able to examine.   He 
lists three and a half pages of observations; I'd say that somewhat less than  
half of the specimens showed some kind of fluorescence, and only a few were 
 described as "bright".

These may very well fluoresce strong light blue in  SW-UV.
Have you tried it yet?

Fluorescence IS becoming a point of  interest for more and more people...
