[Rockhounds] Gold Panning is now Legal in Michigan

My favorite am radio station did a feature this morning reporting that  
Michigan's Department of Natural Resources announced that Gold Panning  
is now legal in Michigan, and you can collect up to 1/2 ounce legally  
per year. Dredging of Michigan waterways and causing turbidity is still  
illegal, but you can finally do old fashioned panning legally. They  
interviewed the head of the DNR.

I went looking for the story, but the best I could find was the  
proposal for the new regulation in google's cache...
