Fellow collectors,
I have just put 6 Pezzottaite thumbnails online. These are from the type
locality in Madagascar, are very rare, and are priced well under what others
are selling comparable specimens for.
Discovered in 2002, Pezzottaite is the cesium analogue of Beryl.
This is a very rare mineral, having only been found at this one locality,
and then, in only one pocket/occurrence. It has been subsequently reported
from one other locality in Afghanistan, and that's it, making these
specimens exceedingly rare.
I have also put 6 Pearceite thumbnails online. These are from the
Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru (the famous
Rhodochrosite locality), and are very nice crystalline specimens.
There are also 6 thumbnails of the much sought after Spessartine garnet
crystals from Loliondo, Tanzania. These are the bright tangerine-orange
euhedral crystals which caused such a stir at the Tucson show when they
first came out in 2008.
Lastly, there are 6 miniatures of watermelon Elbaite crystals from the
famous Pederneira Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil. They have great color,
clarity, and are all well terminated, making them suitable for both
collectors and lapidaries.
You may view all of them at http://www.obgrocks.com
Best Regards,
Tom Corson
