[Rockhounds] Laws and Land

I agree, Kreigh. Now for the inevitable "however." I simply think that we've
split ourselves into groups long enough. We elect & re-elect politicians who
"bring home the bacon" for our District, yet Congress & the Presidency
suffer dismally low popularity as a whole.

I'm as angry over the move to "en-wilderize" the lands of Idaho, Oregon and
every other state that faces these discriminatory restrictions. To waste
monies on exclusive & elitist practices is wrong, and the fact that
"environmentalists" continue to boost such restrictions without any actiev
enforcement efforts shows that this is simply meant to foster a particular
philosophy.

I'm particularly suspicious of anyone who claims to be "protecting" me from
myself. I'm not a child, and those who need such protecting should be
encouraged to seek it out, rather than having it regulated upon all. I don't
venture into a rural area without proper precautions, just as I keep
emergency rations and water in my home. I'm a grown adult, and as such feel
that I'm responsible for protecting myself and being prepared.

Be wel!,
              Kris
