Rockhounding Locations DVD Version 5.0 (finished today lol). It's the
ultimate stocking stuffer for the discriminating rockhound! Click on the DVD

The DVD contains all the rock digs I have visited, plus many more, complete
with topo maps, directions, and example photos of the site, and rocks,
minerals, or fossils available at each site with a write-up. It also
contains files for viewing each waypoint in Google Earth and a waypoint list
for downloading to just about any GPS unit.
 
The big news is that Version 5 has many, many new locations, including all
locations in the new books Gem Trails of Washington and the
soon-to-be-published revision of Gem Trails of Oregon by Portland rockhound
Garret Romaine. If you buy the book(s), then the DVD is very useful for
looking at the sites on topo maps, and has many more waypoints for the
materials in the books and other nearby collecting areas. I don't however,
provide the detailed directions and descriptions that Garret has so
eloquently written up in the books. So, if you want the scoop on all the new
(and revised) locations in the books, get a copy, then get the DVD for the
ultimate Pacific Northwest rockhounding experience (I feel like I should be
doing a Crazy Eddie imitation right now "Our prices are Iiinnn-Saaane")!

Version 5.0 has 709 (54 new since V 4.2) detailed 1:24,000 scale collecting
area maps! 2,453 waypoints (334 new)! 36 site write-ups (1 new; many
expanded)! It also has 230 1:100,000 scale Land Ownership maps for each
collecting area (14 new)! All detailed maps now have mileposts on all major
highways. many other new locations in WA, OR, and ID! Even a Google Earth
file so you can view satellite photos of each dig site or fly from dig to
dig in 3D until you are dizzy (LOL!)

The discounted list special price is the same as Version 4.2 ($40.00 with
first class or $45.00 with Priority Mail shipping), which is $15 off the
regular price of Version 5 - $55. In order to qualify for this discount you
