Dear Mineral Collecting Friends,
    This past summer I was searching eBay for autographed mineral 
books.  Purely by divine intervention (my perspective) I came upon an 
autographed copy of "Getting Acquainted with Minerals" by George 
Letchworth English.  The buy it now price was $9.99.  It came with a 
cabinet photo of a young Mr. English and his 2 year old daughter, 
Gwendolen.  It turns out this is the earliest known, verifiable picture
