[Rockhounds] Our summer trip

We are heading North this summer, up to Mammoth caves for 3 days and then up
to Niagara, thru the Adirondacks and across to Acadia NP. Maybe a side trip
to Canada from there. Then back down via the Blue Ridge.

We plan on fossiling in Kentucky (any good spots near Mammoth Caves?), and
then doing Herkimers in NY. I tried to buy a book on Maine from Amazon
(Northeast Rockhounding or some such) but they just notified us that they
don't have it and don't expect to find one. So anyone have any suggestions
for a book or ideas for Maine?

All this from the end of June to Mid July. Hope the blackfly season is over
by then.
