Tim we use it all the time in the San Francisco Bay area. I have used it 
under a spheres collection in a show case with the spheres sitting on 
pieces of petrified wood. If the spheres were not well balanced they 
would tend to slowly work there way to the edge, flowing through the 
putty, and fall off. It works fine on a flat surface.  Jay
