[Rockhounds] rockhounding in NY vs. Mass.

Thanks to all who have responded to my earlier queries-re: rockhounding in NY.    My friend and I have 8 days to rockhound in either NY or Mass. or both.   Does anyone have any thoughts about what areas would be easily accessible and good collecting?   We are not sure which areas to concentrate on.   thanks again   Marilyn
