[Rockhounds] Subscript notations in e-mails

I sometimes find that if I type the formulas first in Word, with  subscripts, 
and then past the text into an email message, the subscripts  (or even 
special foreign accent characters) will stay there; but this depends on  the email 
program, and I'm not sure if it will translate all the  way through into the 
Rockhounds listserv mail or not.  I guess I can  give it a try right here!

The city of Canon City, Colorado, has officially designated that its town 
name  should be written with the “tilda” on the n, so it is properly written as  
Cañon City, Colorado.
