[Rockhounds] von Rath

I'm trying to find biographical information about a 19th century 
mineralogist from Germany, Gerhard von Rath.
Does anyone know of any books or articles about him. He lived from 1830 
till 1888, and was
Professor of Mineralogy in/at Bonn.
I have been unable to locate any biographical information about him. He 
is not listed in Mineralogical
Record biographical section.
