I don't claim to be an expert on the topic. But what I'm saying is the stuff
im reading says otherwise. You obviously know a lot and I don't want to
disrepect you.. Check this out

Diamonds - Carbon. At least six diamonds have been found in Ohio in
sediments deposited by glaciers of the Pleistocene Ice Age. All were small
crystals. As with gold, these minerals were carried to Ohio from Canada by
glaciers. In recent years, diamond-bearing kimberlite pipes have been
discovered in the Canadian shield and they may have been the source for rare
Ohio diamonds.

When you get massive floods you get scablands like western Washington
created by the Lake Missoula floods:
