There are lab instruments that do just what you suggest, they have a built
in scale, they are computerized and generate all sorts of data. But first
they work on small samples, a couple of grams, and second think $20000 and
up for one. LECO is a big manufacturer of that sort of thing, you can google
them. A normal scale would not survive those sort of temps.
