Thanks to everyone that attended or passed along the word about the
Claude S. Bullen Collection sale this past weekend. The sale itself
went very well and hopefully everyone found a new treasure.
Unfortunately (?) there wasn't much left after the sale.
I have revamped the website, somewhat, so that the old sales items are
on a separate page than the sealed bid auction. You can still get to
the collection items and sealed bids via the main page,
http://www-personal.umich.edu/~zebulon/, or you can go directly to the
bid items, http://www-personal.umich.edu/~zebulon/bullenbid.html. I
will probably do more cleaning on the pages themselves, perhaps add more
pictures, ....
Again, if you're interested in bidding or have questions please contact
myself or Jason (non-member) off the list. Please put "Bullen Bid" in
the subject line.
*** A sealed bid "auction" (Dutch auction) for five items. Bids per
item are due Friday, February 8 at midnight. ***
A) a large 9 plus 1 separate blade copper fan, each blade 7.5"
to 8" long
B) a smaller 11 blade copper fan, each blade 4" long
C) copper skull from the Centennial mine, Houghton county about
6" x 7" x 3"
D) glass jar with copper/silver halfbreeds and some crystallized
silver, 2" round by 3" tall filled volume, entire jar is 4" tall.
E) copper straw cast, 3" round by 6" tall
For the sealed bid you do not need to be present in order to win
the bid. You make bids per item.
You can always change your bid before the deadline, up, down, or
retract (though the preference is "up!")
