[Rockhounds] cabbing belts

You could easily convert to open ended round belting. It is simply 
hollow core poly tubing with a fitting that connects the ends 
together. It does not come apart. For about $20 you can get 10 feet 
of belt and a bag of fittings that should last you a lifetime. I got 
mine from McMaster-Carr. You might need round belt pulleys (I didn't 
for an old Highland Park slab saw).
