This looks very much like a "sand blow, sand boil, sand geyser, sand
volcano" aka blowout from the New Madrid Zone. Why it remains pristene
and unleveled is a mystery. This could be a paleo structure or perhaps
it formed in a more recent yet minor seismic event than the 1811-1812.
