Fellow Rockohunds,

The Clement Mineral Museum (Marion, Kentucky) is looking to expand the number of show dealers this year, lapidary especially, but everything is open. The Show will be held June 7 and 8, 2008. Held at the Crittenden Co. High School, vendor hours are Saturday 9AM - 5PM and Sunday 11AM - 5PM. Direct your inquiries to Tina at BEClement at kynet.biz. The show (along with the digs) are helping the museum which can use all the help folks can offer. Museums in rural areas always have a harder time thriving than those in urban areas, and when rock collecting locations seem to be disappearing across the country, here is one place that is working to find new places where rockhounds can dig fluorite, sphalerite, and other minerals.

On a separate note, if you or your club would like to participate in a dig, they are going to start scheduling them -- so reserve your weekend soon! I hope to meet with Bill and check out two new old mines as potential collecting sites.

Alan G.
