[Rockhounds] Speaking of lapidary tools....Any favorites?

Kevin,
My three favorite lapidary tools are my Beacon Star combo unit, my
Beacon Star trim saw, and my Sears power drill.
I use the power drill with nails as bits, using loose carbo in water as
an abrasive, to drill holes in rocks. Details are on my website at

Honorable mention goes to my Slik tumbler that has an open barrel tilted
45 degrees off vertical.
