CEOTTK is one of my favorite movies! I have the video tape of it plus the 
extended version DVD.
FWIW, besides filming at Devil's tower, much of it was filmed in Mobile AL. 
They used a really BIG hanger in Brookley Industrial Park for the spaceship 
scenes on Devil's Tower in the movie.  The house in the suburbs where Ron 
Neery kept sculpting the towers is in a real subdivision a few miles from 
me, and the scene where his truck stalled near the railroad track is down 
the road from me just off Hwy 90. Too bad we didn't live here at the time 
they were filming, that would have been way cool!
Yep, time flies as they say where you're having fun. Wish somebody had told 
me I was having fun all those years...
