[Rockhounds] blue moon

Just NW of Detroit Michigan we had beautifully clear skies....I
know.....hard to believe for Michigan....just prior to totality the top
edge of the moon WAS blood red while the rest eventually was orangish. 
Really a beautiful sight ... with Saturn as an added bonus.

Ummm... the "blue moon" part was a joke... like the song... but, as far

as what it does, I'm under the impression that it is supposed to turn 
"blood red" and look really spectacular.  For various reasons in all my

years on this earth, I have never seeen one, and this was my first
one.
