It is going to be a while.  The snow around here is off the charts.  The 
website for Elk River shows snow piled higher than the roofs, states 
that many of their winter events are cancelled, the town has been 
declared a disaster area, and basically tells us that we can try to get 
there, but good luck finding a place to park.   I just went snowshoe-ing 
for the first time at Spring Valley Reservoir, and we dug down 3 feet in 
the snow to hit topsoil.  Trappers are worried, because apparently even 
  snow vehicles can't get up in the mountains and they need to check 
their traps as the season ends.  In short, this whole region is either a 
state or federal disaster area and I'm thinking the upper St. Joe will 
be snowed in well past July.

I'm glad we've got global warming.
