P.S., I do think his question was answered, because I think the question  
"How do they work?" meant, "Do they work good?", not "What's the physics behind  
it?"  And the answers were, "Expensive ones work really really good", and  
"Cheap ones work OK".
 
P.P.S., too bad about the Patriots*, but I guess NY is way happy.
 
*Making this relevant because you've gotta root for a team from a state  that 
has Babingtonite as its State Mineral--only a place with serious rockhounds  
would know what that is!
