Hi all:

Regarding P-holes, I first learned about them in USN Electronics Technician school in the early 1970s when they tried to teach us how transistors worked. I didn't have any trouble with tube theory, but p-holes didn't help at all.

Thinking about them sliding around underground is odd to say the least, but it would help explain shining or glowing lights around actively sliding faults.

Regarding the NYC ban on detectors, what about smoke detectors? They're actually radioactive!!! The horror!!! No telling what a Do It Yourselfer might build from a geiger counter, 3 americium containing smoke detectors, a fire extinguisher and some carbide.

And how would they catch you? Anything can be ordered from Edmund Scientific or bought on eBay...

Not that I would advocate anyone ignoring a regulation, ordinance or law, oh no!

JR somewhere overseas...anonymously!
