[Rockhounds] Calcite

I wish I had said that.		;-}

I have some "Christmas Calcite" that has alternating red and green 
stripes visible on some surfaces. I understand it is due to sub-surface 
cracks, with lightwave length gaps, that produce interference, much 
like oil slicks on water.
