Axel,
Wood County, Ohio is not in the Ohio River valley. It's in the northwestern part of the state. This is the area noted for celestine, fluorite and strontianite.
Just as an aside, I collected in a quarry near there not long ago (not in Wood Co., but the neighboring county, Ottawa) and got some specimens of fluorite and celestine. The fluorite is brown, and fluoresces white. The celestine is white, and fluoresces brown!

Anyway, it has a fierce fluorescence and phosphorescence under all kinds of
UV.
