John H. Marshall Jr. died this summer. I never had the pleasure of meeting
him but I do know that he was very involved in the tourmaline discoverises
at the Dunton Mine in Maine. A google search using "John H Marshall"
minerals will lead you to several of his articles in Rocks and Minerals and
the Mineralogical Record.
