OK this is wandering off subject, someone mistakenly wrote that atmospheric
CO2 was 5% and I was just correcting that. But from the CO2 MSDS:

"Carbon Dioxide is a powerful cerebral dilator. At concentrations between 2
and 10%, Carbon Dioxide can cause nausea, dizziness, headache, mental
confusion, increased blood pressure and respiratory rate. Above 8% nausea
and vomiting appear.  Above  10%, suffocation and death can occur within
minutes."

Like everyone else I'm in the 'if you don't know what you are doing, stay
away from strong mineral acids like HCl' camp.
