[Rockhounds] giant garnets exposed: a field trip gone awry

"Pretty unusual in Idaho!"

Hardly.

Idaho has always had a fairly healthy moose count (5,000 in the 1960s),
now it is practically scary. There are around 20,000 in the state, and
up around 12,000 of them are in the northern part, according to recent
counts.

Along with the elk, moose are reportedly excellent wolf food. The wolf
population is now around 600. Shall we talk about the grizzly bear
count and where they are finding them now?

Still no data on the sasquatch population though.

Regards,

Lanny
